Infinity/Powder Brow Aftercare Instructions
It’s COMPLETELY normal for your eyebrows to look much darker immediately for the first few days post-procedure. They will slowly lighten and shrink in size. Redness around the eyebrow area is completely normal and tends to show more on lighter and cooler skin tones. The redness typically diminishes within 1-2 hours post-procedure.
Swelling is rare but will diminish within 1-2 hours post procedure. If swelling persists, the swelling can be managed with soft gel ice packs. Place chilled gel packs (from refrigerator only) in brand new plastic baggies before you place over the swollen area to prevent any infection or moisture contact.
Should an infection occur, please seek medical attention.
IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT:
- Do not touch your brows!! No fingertips, towels, make-up and make-up tools, etc. Use only the supplies in the After Care kit provided or clean Q-tips until you can buy more supplies.
- Gently wash your eyebrows, twice, with the provided Cetaphil gentle cleanser in your After Care kit, only on the night of the procedure and the following morning.
- After having washed your brows twice, begin avoiding direct water on your eyebrows during the healing period (the next 7-10 days).
ACTIVITIES AND SUN EXPOSURE:
- For the first 5 nights, sleep on your back. Sleeping on your back avoids contact with your pillow, which can lead to irritation and faster shedding of skin which can cause loss of pigment. Using a travel neck pillow can help keep you comfortably on your back.
- Avoid Soaps and Creams around the brow area for 14 days. When showering or bathing, avoid putting your face directly under the shower-head stream. Skin creams and products containing Retin-A, AHA, or any other kind of chemical peel must not be used directly on or near the brow area, as this will fade and possibly distort the color of your brows.
- Avoid humid activities like swimming, hot tubs, baths, saunas, excessive sweating, facials, hot yoga and other extremely humid situations for a period of at least 3-4 weeks.
- Do not apply make-up around the eyebrows during the healing process. You may resume applying make-up around your eyebrows once you have FULLY healed in about 2 weeks.
- Do not expose the brows to direct sunlight/tanning beds for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, sun block should be applied over brows with an SPF 50 recommended.
- If you are planning a future chemical peel, laser procedure or MRI scan, please inform your physician of your brow treatment.
PMU BROW TREATMENT RESULTS CAN TAKE UP TO 4 WEEKS
The color immediately after tattooing will appear very sharp and dark but will soften and fade considerably during the healing process. Your brow color will get patchy and may even fade as it is healing. Be patient. The final appearance of your first brow treatment will show after 4 weeks.
